Working Bees

Our work in private historic gardens continues on a monthly basis. Working bees are just one way we support custodians of these gardens and demonstrate that we value their contribution and the assets they maintain. These are Members Only events.

Forthcoming working bees:

  • Sunday 19 March
  • Saturday 22 April

Contact Fran Faul on 9853 1369 or franfaul@gmail.com for more details.

System Garden 160th Anniversary

Melbourne University has celebrated the 160th Anniversary of their historic System Garden, one of the oldest teaching gardens in Australia. Over three days in October plant enthusiasts and history buffs joined a program of free events to celebrate the anniversary with tours, lectures, workshops and an historic photo display.

Advocacy and Heritage Issues

Do you know of a garden with history in Victoria? The Victorian Branch is keen to hear of any garden with a history which may be under threat, need recording or help with restoration work. Contact any member of the Committee with your nomination.
