Rosemary Simpson, a member of AGHS since the beginning, has written the story of her gardening life. Rosemary Simpson (née Turnbull) was born in Melbourne in 1929 to Ernest and Joyce Turnbull. In 1936 the family moved to Sydney, and after the Second World War spent time in the United States and Europe. With her first husband, David Lloyd Jones, she had four children, and then she had a son with her second husband, Bob Simpson. In 2022, she left her property, Banksia Bend in the Yarra Valley, to return to Melbourne. Rosemary’s Gardening Life, the story of her many gardens, is accompanied by glorious photographs.
