As reported in Australian Garden History (Oct/Nov/Dec issue, 2014), in 2013 the ACT, Monaro and Riverina Branch of the Society commissioned a plan to reinstate and interpret the former kitchen garden associated with the Montague Island Lighthouse. This project was funded by the Branch and the national body of AGHS as part of the Garden Restoration Fund.
Colleen Morris’ report ( Plan for the Reinstatement of the Kitchen Garden, Montague Island) is an outstanding example of investigation and explanation.
